Delhi–Faridabad Expressway: Final Stretch Done, Trial Runs Pass

In a major boost to regional infrastructure, the final stretch of the Delhi–Jaitpur–Faridabad expressway corridor has been completed. Recent trial runs confirm that peak-hour travel times between Sarai Kale Khan and destinations toward Sohna and Palwal will drop significantly from nearly three hours to just 40–45 minutes.

South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri announced the development on October 19, 2026, following comprehensive load testing and technical safety evaluations conducted by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

Comprising the 59 km DND–Faridabad–Sohna Access-Controlled Highway (NH-148A) alongside a crucial 9 km segment of the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway, the new corridor provides vital arterial connectivity between Delhi, Faridabad, Sohna, and Palwal. Once opened to public traffic, it will also serve as a key connector to the Kundli–Manesar–Palwal (KMP) Expressway and the wider national highway network.
